Simply Baked Gold Apples & Cinnamon
My friend, Wendell, often talks about enjoying this easy and healthy dessert recipe with his grand kids when Golden Delicious Apples are at their best. I tried it with my family and my daughter and I have been hooked since. If you like apples this recipe tastes sublime. So simple yet so flavorful.
- Pre-heat oven to 350F
- Peel and core 6 large Golden Delicious Apples (or about 2-3lb of any size)
- Cut the apples into thin slices then arrange in a glass pie pan or 8×8” dish
- Shake ground Cinnamon on top of the apples to dust evenly (if you have a sweet-tooth use a cinnamon-sugar mix)
- Bake for 20-30 minutes uncovered, depending on thickness of cut. The apples are done when fork-tender, but not mushy.
