Hi Justin,
Giant and Weis carry Cara Caras and Pink Lady's. Stop by York Central Market sometime on Tu, Th, Sa before 2pm to visit some farmer market stands. That'd be fun if you're a foodhound like me, even if you don't buy much. Finally, if you have a couple hours to kill once a month, take 83 South across the MD boarder to Wegmans just off the Hunt Valley exit - it'll blow you away if you've never been there. Wegmans is a slice of food heaven; the produce department is awesome and huge, plus there's a good cafe there too. The other nearby Wegmans in north of you in Mechanicsburg, PA, off 581 on the Carlisle Pike.

Hi Justin,
By all means, continue to shop at Wal-Mart for your everyday needs if that makes sense for you and your family. But maybe once in a while you could stop by a farmer market, specialty food retailer or natural foods store to pick out some fun and delicious fresh produce to enjoy. What zip code are you in?

Hey, Jon.

Stupid question: Where should I shop? I don't think we usually see Pink Lady Apples or Cara Cara Oranges at our friendly neighborhood Wal-Mart.

Hey Produce Geek! I tried the blood oranges a couple weeks back when you recommended them, and they couldn't have been better! I enjoyed the color and the sweet-tart cranberry tang, just like you described. Thanks!
